Historic Transformation at Judson Mill: Jenny & Westervelt Buildings
The Jenny and Westervelt Buildings at Judson Mill represent a thoughtful transformation of two historic textile structures into modern residential spaces while preserving the character that defines this iconic site.
Originally home to key textile operations, including yarn production, these buildings were carefully restored to honor their industrial past. Exposed brick, original timber beams, soaring ceilings, and expansive windows were preserved and integrated with contemporary layouts and high-quality finishes.
Today, the Jenny + Westervelt Buildings feature 181 new residential units, offering a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom loft-style residences that blend historic authenticity with modern comfort. This adaptive reuse reflects a strong commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and placemaking—breathing new life into one of Greenville County’s most significant historic landmarks.
Caldwell Constructors was proud to be part of the collaborative team that helped bring the Jenny and Westervelt Buildings to completion, contributing to the continued revitalization of the Judson Mill District and its evolution into a vibrant mixed-use community.
