The Eastside Family YMCA proudly revealed a groundbreaking outdoor expansion, introducing a distinctive complex that includes an outdoor functional fitness patio, an airnasium, and a miniature soccer pitch and futsal court—the first in the state. The innovative airnasium, equipped with lighting and an open-sided shelter, offers a flexible space for a wide array of activities. This development comes in response to the YMCA’s membership, which has surged to more than double its anticipated size. With the aim to enrich youth services, the expansion enhances support for after-school programs, summer camps, and youth sports initiatives. This initiative represents the initial phase in a series of developments designed to meet the growing demand for group exercise and offer a broader range of adult activities, including outdoor functional training.
