Bon Secours Piedmont Orthopaedics

Bon Secours Piedmont Orthopaedics Renovation & Expansion

This $7.5 million adaptive reuse renovation and addition transformed a former restaurant at the corner of Halton Road and Mall Connector Road into a 13,924 SF orthopedic medical facility serving the Greenville community.

Built in 1996, the structure underwent a full interior demolition and reconstruction, along with a 2,200 SF addition, to meet modern healthcare standards. Partnering with Fox Commercial Properties and Forma Health Design Collaborative, the reconfigured layout now supports efficient operations and patient flow with:

  • 30 exam rooms across six care pods
  • Three X-ray rooms
  • Three procedure rooms
  • Physical therapy spaces
  • Administrative and support areas

Design features include clear and etched glazing, smart glass at control stations, patient-flow monitoring systems, energy-efficient LED lighting, and acoustic felt baffles. Exterior upgrades incorporated new masonry, insulated metal panels, and storefront glazing, introducing natural light and a modern architectural presence.
