Basecamp GVL, situated at the intersection of Laurens Road and Blair Street, represents a revolutionary approach to community wellness. Developed in collaboration with David Jolson of Upstate Spine and Sport and Mary Brittain Blankenship of Spruce MD Integrative Medicine, Basecamp integrates medical practices, fitness studios, and restaurants into a unified space, offering a holistic approach to health and well-being. To bring their vision to life, Caldwell Constructors was selected as the General Contractor for this design/build project.
Undertaking the Basecamp GVL project, Caldwell Constructors faced a diverse scope, including extensive site work, building renovations, and comprehensive enhancements for Upstate Spine & Sport and Spruce MD. Additionally, the demolition of an aging gas station posed challenges, particularly with unexpected rock formations. Despite these obstacles, the team demonstrated resilience, employing innovative solutions to stay on track. Through meticulous planning and adaptive problem-solving, Caldwell Constructors delivered exceptional results for Basecamp GVL.
