Caldwell Constructors is grateful to be part of the team that helped transform this incredible historic site into the vibrant, mixed-use community it is today. We’re proud to recognize Judson Mill’s selection for the 2025 Honor Award in Adaptive Reuse/Historic Preservation from AIA Greenville—its highest project distinction.

A decade in the making, the 800,000-square-foot Judson Mill redevelopment showcases the power of vision, collaboration, and thoughtful design. Once the largest textile mill in Greenville County, the site has been reimagined through a multi-phase revitalization effort that includes more than 30 individual renovations and over $160 million of community investment.

Judson Mill is now home to more than 1,000 residents, workers, and visitors, and continues to serve as a model for adaptive reuse and community-focused redevelopment. Earlier this year, the project also received the Max Heller Neighborhood Improvement Award from the Greenville Chamber and the AIA South Carolina Merit Award, further underscoring its significance to the region.

We’re honored to have contributed to this landmark effort alongside our project partners, including Triangle Construction, PR 3 Construction, SeamonWhiteside, Britt Peters & Associates, and Crenshaw Consulting Engineers, with architectural leadership from McMillan Pazdan Smith.
