From Faded Facade to Active Senior Hub: Stepping into Senior Action
Senior Action, a leading Greenville nonprofit championing the well-being of older adults, hired Caldwell to transform a 32,000 SF vacant shopping center into a vibrant community for seniors. This makeover introduced a modern, dynamic center featuring an expansive event hall for up to 420 guests and multifunctional spaces hosting a wide array of activities. Emphasizing a design that covers the spaces in natural light, the renovation cultivated a warm, inviting environment. Exterior updates revitalized the building’s façade, mirroring the interior’s innovation. This strategic expansion not only meets the increasing needs of Greenville’s senior population but also boosts Senior Action’s operational capabilities. The project’s success is underpinned by a sustainable financial strategy, blending tenant rents with state and federal funds to support a $2 million annual budget. This initiative secures Senior Action’s position at the forefront of serving Greenville’s elderly community.
